The California Department of Education (CDE) is conducting this Request For Information (RFI) in an effort to find suppliers who can produce large print textbooks for visually impaired students. The textbooks must adhere to CDE guidelines, which are listed in the attached file titled 'Guidelines for Large-Print Books'. Interested suppliers must provide samples of a hardcover textbook, hardcover library book, and coil bound workbook to the listed CDE contact prior to the expiration of this solicitation. Suppliers that have submitted textbooks which have been examined and approved by CDE staff will be included in the supplier pool for future competitive solicitations. Responses to this RFI must be submitted via email no later than noon PST on August 14, 2008. All responses are to be submitted to Jaymi Brown at jabrown@cde.ca.gov.
