SCOPE OF WORK
LAMINATE FLOORING
USCG STATION Channel Islands Harbor
Oxnard, CA
BACKGROUND: The contractor shall remove the existing blue carpeting and install Laminate flooring in the following areas:
a. Administration Office
b. Captain s Office
c. Captain s Conference Room
SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, transportation and supervision to perform the following:
1.1 Contractor shall provide the following materials:
a. Laminate flooring material. The station s point of contact will determine color of the laminate. A site visit must be made to determine quantities.
b. All other materials (vapor barrier material, door jam weather strips, vinyl base, adhesives, etc.) are to be furnished by the Contractor and of a type suitable for the purpose intended.
c. Contractor shall contact Aaron Ferguson 805-985-9822, ext. 2 to coordinate site visits and installation.
1.2 Remove and dispose of the existing carpet materials, padding and vinyl/wood baseboards. Contractor is responsible for off-base disposal.
1.3 Contractor must inspect the floor surface for any damage and make any repairs if necessary. They must thoroughly clean and prepare floor slab prior to installation of laminate flooring material.
2.0 RELOCATED EQUIPMENT AND ITEMS: None
3.0 CONTRACTOR USE OF PREMISES: The Contractor will be working on an operational Coast Guard military installation. Perform and conduct the work to minimize interference with Coast Guard operations.
4.0 SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION:
5.0 HOURS OF OPERATION: Working hours is from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday - Friday, excluding Government holidays.
6.0 WARRANTY: The Contractor shall warranty/guarantee the quality of workmanship for a period of 1 year.
