Description
The US Army RDECOM Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division (NCD) intends to procure Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for the Naval Health Research Centers (NHRC) Department of Respiratory Disease Research, located in San Diego , California, that will aid in the conduct of biomedical, epidemiological, and clinical research efforts. This Management System will provide NHRC with the ability to properly organize the data collected from past research along with all new research. Mi nimal requirements for this LIMS are as follows. 1) Specimen management. 2) Freezer archiving system for all specimens. 3) Patients data (from case report form) linked to their submitted specimen. 4) Ability to easily create queries for analysis of our data. 5) Easily created work-flow for specimens in new projects. 6) Ability to evaluate a new work flow in a test environment prior to instituting it (sandbox). 7) Sites able to enter the data currently on our case report form for each specim en they collect on their computer, linked to our LIMS via the internet web-based. 8) Migration of NHRCs pre-existing data (both in FoxPro and SQL databases) into the LIMS database. 9) Compliance with the College of American Pathologists (CAP) databa se requirements. 10) Compliance with 21CFR Part 11. 11) Document control function. 12) Inventory management. 13) Equipment maintenance/calibration. 14) Assignment of daily work tasks. The Government anticipates that this requirement will be one hundred (100%) percent Small Business Set Aside; however, the Government reserves the right to change the solicitation procedure. Firms shall not be reimbursed for any costs associated with proposals. The Government envisions one award to a Small Busines s Set-Aside under North American Industry Classification System code 541512. The government anticipates that the solicitation, including all amendments and applicable documents will be available on or about February 15, 2008 in electronic medium at the US Army RDECOM Natick Contracting website at https://www3.natick.army.mil .
