Jubilee Lake Toilet Buildings and Installation, Umatilla National Forest
This contract is to purchase and install commercially available pre-cast concrete toilet buildings suitable for use in a remote national forest campground. Required are: (1) two single room pre-cast vault toilet buildings with vaults and ABS liners, (2) one two room pre-cast flush toilet building with pre-installed plumbing including a chase room with locking door for access to the plumbing and water system connections. Design criteria for all buildings: 250 lb/per square foot snow load, 120 mile per hour wind load and seismic zone four. Additionally, the facilities must meet all current State and Federal Americans with Disabilities and Architectural Barriers Acts (ADA/ABA) standards for accessibility and signage as well as applicable State and Local building codes. Toilet buildings and associated vaults or plumbing need to withstand variable weather conditions from over 100 degrees F. to snow and below freezing temperatures. Fixtures, roofs and walls need to be resistant to damage caused by vandalism, blown or felled trees, and forest fires. Also included in this work is the provision and installation of three solar powered LED lighting systems, one on each building provided and installed.
Jubilee Lake Campground is located approximately 50 miles northeast of Pendleton, Oregon.: From Pendleton, proceed north on State Highway 11 towards Milton-Freewater, OR for 40 miles to junction with State Highway 204. Turn right onto State Highway 204 and proceed 20 miles east to junction with Forest Road 64 Skyline Drive. Turn left onto Forest Road 64 and proceed 10 miles to junction with Forest Road 6400250, the entrance to Jubilee Campground. Turn right into Jubilee Campground. Note: the First three miles of Forest Road 64 is two lane pavement; The remaining seven miles are lane and a half (@18 feet wide) aggregate surfaced. The campground roads are paved.
Estimated start work date will be July 21, 2008. Work shall be completed within 90 days of the effective date of the notice to proceed.
