Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii, up to 2:00 P.M., June 24, 2008, at which time and
places they will be opened and read publicly. The bidder shall be responsible

Hana Ramp Improvements to Rock Revetment and Boat Ramp Approach, Maui, Hawaii will be received at the
Engineering Division office, 2nd floor, Kalanimoku Building, Room 221, 1151
Punchbowl Street, Honolulu and at the Engineering Division Office, 130 Mahalani
Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii, up to 2:00 P.M., June 24, 2008, at which time and
places they will be opened and read publicly. The bidder shall be responsible
for the prompt delivery of the proposal.
The Department of Land and Natural Resources Interim
General Conditions dated October 1994, as amended, shall be made a part of the
specifications.
Plans and specifications may be examined and
obtained at the aforesaid places.
The project is located at the Hana Harbor, Maui, Hawaii.
The work shall generally consist of demolishing
and removing existing rock revetments, concrete steps, railings, fencing, AC
pavement, light poles, and sections of the boat launch ramp; and installing
replacement seawalls, accessible concrete ramps, rock revetment, loading dock,
stairs and railings, light poles, fendering and cleats, AC pavement including
subgrade improvements, new boat washdown facility, repairs to existing loading
dock, and repairs to fencing.
The estimated cost of construction is between $3,500,000.00-4,000,000.00
million.
A voluntary pre-bid conference will be held at
the Division of Engineering, located at 1151 Punchbowl Street, Room 221, Honolulu, Hawaii on June 3, 2008 at 10:00 A.M..
Due to the nature of work contemplated, bidders
must possess a valid State Contractor s license, classification A.
The job is subject to preference for Hawaii
Products established by Section 103D, Hawaii Revised Statutes. The Hawaii
Product List may be examined at the State Procurement Office.
The award of the contract, if it be awarded,
will be subject to the availability of funds.
