STATEMENT OF WORK:Upgrade of XTS5000 Portable Radios, and KVL3000 Plus Variable Key Loaders1.0 BACKGROUND1.1 This Statement of Work (SOW) describes tasks to be performed by awardee in support of Commander, Submarine Force, U. S. Pacific Fleet (COMSUBPAC). The awardee will provide the necessary upgrades to Motorola portable radios and variable key loaders to allow radios located on submarines to be compatible with shore based radios.COMSUBPAC has XTS5000 portable radios and KVL3000 Plus Key Loaders divided among Bangor, Washington, Pearl Harbor, HI, San Diego, CA, and Guam.OBJECTIVE:1. Upgrade Motorola-manufactured (521) XTS5000 portable radios and KVL3000 Plus Variable Key Loaders to AES Secure Communications Capability with Over-The-Air Rekeying (OTAR) Functionality.2. Period of Performance: 30 September 2008 thru 30 June 2009
