The United States Geological Survey, Patuxent Wildlife Research Center intends to award a non-competitive Blanket Purchase Agreement IAW FAR 13.5 Test Program for Commercial Items to Johnson Controls, Inc. for monitoring and controlling Gabrielson Laboratory's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning controlled by THE METASYS SYSTEM and to PROVIDE FIRE MONITORING SERVICES (Silent Knight) for the Vet Hospital and Coburn Annex in Laurel, MD. The existing control system equipment was purchased and installed by Johnson Controls. Replacement parts must be compatible with the existing equipment (Metasys). This company has the expertise, parts and background needed to keep the equipment functioning properly
The period of performance for the contract will be date of award through July 31, 2009 for the base year. Four Options Years shall be included. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. However, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSED ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAQW RAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
