USCG, Maintenance & Logistics Command, Pacific (vpl-1) in Oakland, CA, proposes to contract for Dry-Dock and Repairs of CGC 52? Motor Life Boat (52312) home moorage in Newport, OR. This requirement is 100% total small business set-aside. The period of performance to accomplish this requirement is 03 June 2008 through 27 June 2008. A geographical restriction of 350 nautical miles within the boat?s home moorage is applicable under this requirement. Work may include, but is not limited to the following: tank (MP fuel service) clean & inspect; raw water strainer overhaul; sea valve renew all; haulout and underwater body work; propeller shaft removal and installation; strut and stern tube bearing renewals; rudder bearing renewal; hull plating underwater body preservation (100%); hull plating preservation (anti-fouling).
On or about 01 February 2008, an Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Only one award will be made to the responsive, responsible bidder under this solicitation.
The solicitation, specifications and other pertinent information will be posted at www.fbo.gov. In order to open and download the specifications offerors must be registered at www.FedTeds.gov. Offerors are encouraged to register immediately as authorization to access the documents may take up to 48 hours from the time of registration. Drawings may be requested through FedTeds.
