Description
Work shall include but is not limited to the following basic tasks from the Statement of Work. Properly bond all ground wire and neutral wire connections within transformer cabinets, switch cabinets and sectionalizing cabinets. Provide 1/0 copper neutral conductors and #2AWG copper ground conductors as required by the National Electric Code. Install ground rods where lacking. Install surge arrestors where lacking. Correct deficiencies with bushings arrestors and/or elbows as required. Install new locks and/or modify existing locks on all cabinets. Repair oil leaks in transformer cases. Replace live front 300 KW transformer with X639 with dead front. Relocate 500 KVA transformer. This proposed acquisition is unrestricted. All responsible bidders must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration program to be considered for award. The solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) on or about 10 March 2008 and can be accessed at www.fbo.gov. The closing date and time for submission of bids will be contained in the solicitation package. Small Business Concerns can obtain paper copies of the solicitation via written request or via fax to (765) 688-2803 only. Potential bidders must register at www.fbo.gov in order to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation. Potential bidders are responsible for monitoring the FBO site for the solicitation package and other pertinent information and downloading their own copies.
