Synopsis:

Project will provide for storm damage repair of four individual ERFO (Emergency Relief for Federally Owned) sites. The work will consist of clearing and excavating, hauling and placing of fill and waste material. Work will also include removal and installation of numerous drainage structures, including corrugated metal pipe appurtenances, geotextiles, prefabricated underdrains, gabions and rock butresses. The project will also require that some materials removed from project be disposed of off Government Land. PROJECT LOCATION: Project is located on the Mendocino National Forest, Glenn County, California. From Willows, CA proceed West on CA-162, 21.6 miles, then turn Left onto County Road 306, proceed 1.3 miles, then turn right onto County Road 308 / Ivory Mill Road (Portions unpaved), proceed 4.8 miles to Junction of Forest Service Road Number 20N01, turn right onto 20N01, travel 1.50 miles to beginning of project sites; see locality map. PRICE RANGE: between $250,000 and $500,000. BONDING is required of the successful offeror at time of award. A bid guarantee is required with offeror s submitted proposal. Estimated start date is July 25, 2008. Contract time is 65 calendar days. A pre-proposal tour will not be conducted. Solicitation will be a Request for Proposal requiring both a price and technical proposal responding to the evaluation criteria as stated in the solicitation. The solicitation will be available for downloading from this website on or about May 28, 2008. SET ASIDE: This project is 100 percent set-aside for Hubzone. In order to allow contractors interested in this project that are eligible under the HubZone certification guidelines to become certified through Small Business Administration and compete for this project, an additional 15 days has been added to the solicitation period.
