The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award to a responsible business entity for the provision of Islamic Spiritual Leader services for the Federal Correctional Complex, Petersburg located in Hopewell, Virginia. Faith-based and Community-based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated date of award will be approximately October 1, 2008. The contract period shall consist of a base period from the date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the Government. The successful contractor shall provide Islamic Spiritual Guide Services consistent with community standards. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 813110, with a small business size standard of $6.5 million. Services will be provided for individuals who are in the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. Yearly contract requirements include an estimated 1,144 one hour sessions. The solicitation will be made available on or about June 30, 2008, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is July 31, 2008; however, this is a PROJECTED ESTIMATE and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due.
