Synopsis:

The subject RFP FA5209-08-R-0024 was issued on 4 Jun 08 with a response due date of 18 Jul 08. The escorted site visit is scheduled on 24 and 25 Jun 08 (2 full days). If you wish to attend the site visit, please notify the POCs to obtain the detailed schedule and process instruction.

Project No. ZNRE 06-4301, Improve Military Family Housing Phase IV and V at Yokota Air Base, Tokyo, Japan. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation and other items and services necessary to renovate 192 units under Phase IV and 186 units under Phase V at Yokota Air Base, Japan. Work on this project includes, but is not limited to upgrade mechanical room domestic hot water piping including pumps, controls, and associated mechanical and electrical equipment beginning the piping connections to the domestic hot water manifolds including asbestos abatements; replace exterior direct-buries domestic hot water distribution system; perform exterior and interior electrical and auxiliary works; replace existing floor/wall finishes; conduct structural work; HVAC/plumbing works; etc. The magnitude of each phase under this construction project is more than $10,000,000 in accordance with FAR36.204. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond in accordance with FAR 52.228-15 of this solicitation. NOTE: THIS PROJECT WILL BE PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFEROR MUST BE LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO PERFORM WORK IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN.
