The Social Security Administration (SSA) plans to purchase IQinvision brand outdoor Internet Protocol (IP) cameras for the new Durham Support Center (DSC) located at 3604 Hopson Road RTP, Durham, North Carolina. The IQinvision cameras are the only product of its kind available and fully integrated with the currently installed Lenel brand security system at the DSC. The IQinvision is the only camera that is all power over Ethernet for outside environments. Every other camera requires separate equipment and power supplies to work outdoors. This notice is for informational purposes only and is neither a request for quotation nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Interested parties that believe they are capable of providing a camera with the exact specifications can submit a capability statement to Contracting Officer, Deborah R. Wilson via email at Deborah.r.wilson@ssa.gov NLT 12:00 p.m. local standard time, Friday May 9, 2008. The Government will consider all information from responsible sources, but a determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely at the discretion of the Government.
