The purpose of this Pre-Solicitation Notice is to notify prospective offerors that the Department of State has a requirement for Integrated Technology (IT) Services that will result in a Fixed-Priced type contract. The solicitation will competed amongst all Small Business sources. The NAICS is 541611. The period of performance under this contract will consist of one base year plus four option years for a potential total of five years. This contract will be a performance-based acquisition. The Department intends to make one single award. Multiple contract awards are neither anticipated nor desired. This competition will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15. To be eligible for award, offerors must provide pricing for all line items for all five contract years. Partial offers will not be considered. This solicitation will be posted under Solicitation Number S-AQMMA-08-R-0278.
The Integrated Technology (IT) Services contract will provide the Department of State, New Embassy Compound (NEC) in Baghdad, Iraq with a variety of IT related services that include, but are not limited to personal computer (PC) services, telephone desktop and cabling installation, general operation and maintenance activities associated with PC and telephone systems, VSAT installation and maintenance, HF and VHF mobile handheld, and desktop type radio installation, including infrastructure and maintenance, general administration, general management, and project management. The contractor shall furnish all necessary material, labor, equipment, and supervision to provide Integrated Technology (IT) Services in performance of services in an overseas setting.
Solicitation S-AQMMA-08-R-0278 will be electronically posted to this website only, FEDBIDOPPS, and will contain complete information and instructions for submission of a proposal. No paper solicitations will be issued. Likewise, all solicitation amendments and other releases of information will be posted exclusively to this website. Proposals will be due approximately thirty (30) days after the solicitation is posted. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor this website regularly to ensure full access to all pertinent information.

In response to an inquiry regarding the quantity and types of equipment to be maintained the following is included:
Pesonal Computers (PC) : approximately 1,500 units
Telephones: approximately 2,000 units
High Frequency (HF) Radios: approximately 400 units
Very High Frequency (VHF) Radios: approximately 5,500 units
