This
requirement is for non-personal service, indefinite delivery/indefinite
quantity (IDIQ) type contract to provide support to the Northwest Fisheries
Science Center (NWFSC), Seattle,
WA, on an as-needed basis.
General and specific personnel requirements and duties for scientific personnel
will be provided through individual Task Order(s) for work to be performed at the
NWFSC facility in Seattle, WA, and/or various other NMFS sites within
the region for which the Center provides support . The Northwest Fisheries
Science Center (NWFSC) requires scientific services to assist in the
performance of work related to the Nation Marine Fisheries Service mission.
Services are required on an intermittent basis related to scientific projects
that expand or are initiated. Contract success will be based in the review of
deliverables, ability to complete the services with accuracy and skill, and in
a timely manner.

Labor
categories to fulfill these scientific support services will include as a
minimum the following: Fishery Research Scientist, Fishery Biologist, Molecular
Geneticist, Chemist, Microbiology Research Scientist, Social Scientist,
Economist, Geographer, and Statistician. Other categories may be identified in the
published bid schedule. Any resulting contract will produce a performance-based fixed unit price
Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for scientific
support services. Task Order(s) awarded
against this contract will be firm-fixed-price. It consists of a one-year base period with four (4) additional one-year
options periods. Task order(s) awarded against the contract will typically be
labor-hour based upon the fixed unit prices form the schedule, with limited
fixed price order(s) awarded.

The
period of performance is for one (1) base year and four (4) additional one-year
option years with a minimum ordering amount of $10,000 for the life of the contract
and a maximum of $9,000,000.00 over the life of the contract.

This is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. NAICS Code: 541712 Size limit for small businesses is 500 employees.

PREPROPOSAL CONFERENCE - A Preporposal Conference may
be held on site of Western
Administration Support
Center. If a Preproposal conference is held date and
location will be address in the solicitation or by amendment.

The Western Administrative Support
Center, Acquisition
Management Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this
acquisition office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry
(CCR) before October 1, 2003. After this
date, NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR. for additional information and to register in
