Description
This notice is issued by the NASA Glenn Research Center as a Request for Information (RFI). This is not a notice of solicitation and does NOT constitute a Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Quotation. This RFI is for internal NASA planning purposes only, and seeks to provide industry the opportunity to verify the reasonableness and feasiblity of the prospective requirements. This RFI is subject to the FAR Provision 52.215-3 entitled "Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (OCT 1997)". In addition, this notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contract, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response to this request. Specific information requested is outlined in the attached RFI reponse Instructions. The draft product specifications for this RFI are also attached, as are additional requirements for a later procurement for a flight-qualified version. Also attached as a "zipped" file are several documents referenced in either the draft spec or additional flight requirements. This RFI has no overall page limit and no response will be excluded from review. ALL PROPRIETARY INFORMATION SHOULD BE MARKED. RESPONSES WILL BE HANDLED ACCORDINGLY. Responses may be submitted either via hard copy the following email addresses, OR electronically to the address shown for the Technical Point of Contact listed below: NASA Glenn Research Center, Mail Stop 86-12 Attn: Thomas Kraft 21000 Brookpark Road Cleveland, OH 44135 RESPONSES ARE REQUESTED NO LATER THAN March 14, 2008.
