Synopsis:

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) intends to negotiate with O.R. Solutions, 3901 Centerview Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151, for the purchase of an ORS-1075HS Hush-Slush Machine. This device is used for cooling organs during surgical cases. This machine technology allows nursing staff to deliver high quality slush safely and in a quiet manner. Additionally, the Auto-Slush feature automatically stirs the solution saving valuable nursing time and reducing the likelihood of any large or sharp ice chunks being introduced into the patient. Market research has not found another company that makes a system with an agitator. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than September 29, 2008 10:00 AM. Responses should be sent to Pamela.rayburg@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
