(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
(ii) This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) under RFQ number DOL-10-0896-8328
(iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-26.
(iv) This solicitation is being issued as UNRESTRICTED under NAICS code 334111 with a size standard of 500 employees.
(v) This solicitation is BRAND NAME OR EQUAL . Attachment A "HP Product List" provides a list of the equipment being procured under this solicitation. Vendors who believe they can provide equipment equal to the HP equipment identified in Attachment A, are encouraged to submit a quotation. Attachment A provides a complete list of contract line item numbers (CLINs) which DOL seeks to procure through this combined synopsis/solicitation. Vendors are requested to submit the "per unit" and "total" price for each CLIN listed in Attachment A.
(vi) Description of requirements for the items to be acquired: The CLINs provided in Attachment A represent the Hewlett Packard (HP) EVA4400, or equal, Hardware required to augment the Department of Labor s (DOL s), Information Technology Center (ITC) Storage Area Network.
(vii) Delivery for the items listed in (v) above shall be made 30 days after the date of award. Delivery shall be made FOB: Destination, to the following address:

(viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Addendum to 52.212-1(c) Period for acceptance of offers: The vendor agrees to hold the prices in its quotation firm for 60 calendar days.
(ix) Award will be offered on the basis of Lowest Price Technically Acceptable.
(x) Vendors are required to include with its quotation, a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items.
(xi) The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commerical items applies to this acquisition. The following FAR clauses cited in the clauses under section (b) of this provision are applicable to this acquisition:
(1) with its alternate, (15), (16), (17), (18), (19), (20), (21), (22), (23), (24), (31), (36), (39).
