Description
The Government intends to execute a restricted procurement for production of 35 each High Pressure Cylinder Assemblies (HPCAs), which are metal racks designed to hold 25 helium cylinders, manifolded together to form single bulk helium containers. Government Furnished Material will include 875 DOT Certified 4500 PSIG cylinders fitted with Sherwood valves, part number GV-68061-65-24. The Contractor shall provide all other materials, supplies, management, tools, equipment, and labor necessary to manufacture and assemble HPCAs, to fill cylinders with helium, and to leak test all cylinders and HPCA connections. The Type 1, Grade A, 99.995% Purity Helium shall meet requirements of military specification Mil-PRF-27407C, Dated 29 Nov 06. The performance period is from 31 Jan 08 through 31 Dec 08. Delivery is FOB Origin, with the first delivery of 18 HPCAs due 31 Jan 2008 and 17 additional units due 29 Feb 2008.
Subject solicitation will be issued on or about 13 Dec 07 and posted to the FedBizOpps web page at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). Under authority of FAR 6.302-1 ONLY ONE (OR A LIMITED NUMBER) OF RESPONSIBLE SOURCES AND NO OTHER SUPPLIES OR SERVICES WILL SATISY AGENCY REQUIREMENTS and FAR 6.302-2, UNUSUAL AND COMPELLING URGENCY, competition is restricted to two known responsible sources, National Welders Supply Company of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Global Gases & Chemicals FZCO of Dubai, U.A.E. If other interested parties do not have internet access, a hard copy of the solicitation may be requested. Only written, emailed or faxed request for solicitation received directly from the requestor are acceptable.
