Synopsis:

NOTICE OF INTENT. SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston intends to award a sole-sourcecontract, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, to Harris Corporation RF
Communications Division, 1680 University Avenue, Rochester, NY 14610 for
supplying the necessary equipment for the US Navy's conversion of a LHA
12kW HFRG system (AN/URC-131C(V)) into a CVN-78 8kW HFRG system
(AN/URC-131H(V)). The HFRG system can only be fitted with identical
replacement parts specifically designed for the HFRG system. Harris
Corporation is the sole manufacturer and distributor of these proprietary
parts.
The Government anticipates award of a Commercial Firm Fixed Price contract.
The NAICS Code is 334220 and the applicable size standard is 750
employees. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE AS A RESULT OF THIS
ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
