Synopsis:

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation to be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13. This brand name procurement is merited due to Hergo Ergonomic Support Systems being the only manufacturer and distributor of the HERGO workstation, and the adverse impact that selecting another product would have on the critical DCGS-A (FIXED) Fielding timelines, as new technical solutions are sought out and evaluated. The supplies/services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1). Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. DURATION: Delivery to be made by no later than 26 September 2008. All quotations received within 1 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
