This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
The USDA Forest Service, Cimarron National Grassland, Elkhart, KS, has a requirement for 535 gallons of Garlon 4 (brand name or equal) herbicide and 55 gallons of Pathfinder II (brand name or equal) herbicide to treat tamarisk (salt cedar). Submit quote based on per gallon price.

This solicitation (No. AG-82BH-S-08-0018) is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and subsequent contract award incorporate provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-24 (3/31/2008). The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 325320 and the size standard is 500 employees.

Award will be made to a responsible vendor whose offer is most advantageous to the Government based on price and other evaluation factors contained in this solicitation. Evaluation factors, when combined, are as important as price. Award will be made approximately July 10, 2008. Approximate delivery date is July 30, 2008.
