Description
ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED. IMPORTANT: TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED.
The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, mobilization, and logging to perform computerized leak detection testing on approximately 15 miles of asbestos cement, cast iron, and ductile iron water lines. Water lines shall be tested at existing listening points spaced approximately 350 feet or less apart. The Contractor shall submit a computer generated, executive summary review, individual lead reports, and estimate of the leak sizes for each leak found during testing. . Contract dollar amount is estimated to be under $15,000. Contractor will be selected based on the lowest price technically accepted. The proposed contract is a small business set aside. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered.

Performance Period is 30 -45 days. Work to be completed Jun 01 ? July 31, 2008.
SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: manufacturer catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition to references and qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the Government and may constitute grounds for disqualification.
CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations, federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to water, air, and noise pollution. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY MARCH 19, 2008.
A SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS BEFORE QUOTE IS DUE, April 8, 2008. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.)
Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska.
Estimated price is UNDER $15,000.
