Synopsis:

Solicitation for Superpave Gyratory Compactor. The Bureau of Indian Affairs, (BIA) Eastern OklahomaRegion, (EOR) 3100 W. Peak Blvd., Muskogee, Oklahoma,is soliciting bids for a Superpave Gyratory Compactor,as this equipment, is required for determining themechanical and volumetric properties of hot-mixasphalt. The Gyratory Compactor is to beElectrohydraulic or Electromechanical (115V ac, 60 Hz,10.1 A) with a ram or ram heads. The specimenssimulate the density, aggregate orientation, andstructural characteristics obtained in the actualroadway when proper construction procedure is used inthe placement of asphalt. The Gyratory Compactor isused to monitor the density of test specimens duringtheir preparation and for field control of ashphaltproduction process. Gyratory Compactor must becapable of performing 1 to 999 gyrations per test. Specimen Height Measurement and Recording Device shallmonitor specimen density during compaction. Thesystem shall include a printer connected to an RS232Cport capable of printing text information such asspecimen height per gyration. In addition, to aprinter, the system shall include the means for dataacquisition and reporting. Requests for Solicitationmay be faxed to Lorene Phillips at (918) 781-4621. All contractors must be registeredwith the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) websitewww.ccr.gov. No award of a contract can be made tothe successful bidder without being registered in theCCR.
