For clarification of request for information (RFI) W15QKN-08-X-0277 purposes,the government expects dynamic testing of all mortars ranging from 60mm-120mm to be fired live to max range. The same goes for the 105/155mm artillery rounds as well as 105 tank rounds. The reasoning is that with explosive replacements being used for TNT and COMP B, the possibly new ballistics of the weapons must be checked and this can only be done as a live fire at full prop charge and range.
