INVITATION TO BID
The Redevelopment Agency of the County of
Sacramento on behalf of the County of Sacramento is soliciting bids and will receive sealed bids for Invitation to Bid
(IFB) No. 2008032-LE for Grissom Avenue
Roadway Improvement & Demolition for reconstruction of one block of
roadway improvements including curb, gutter, streetlights, and landscaping
between Femoyer Street and Bleckely Street in Mather, California. Roadway improvements are 50% reconstruction
of structural section and 50% overlay.
Limited storm drain modification will be required. Project also includes grading of adjacent
lot, removal of existing structure with hazardous material abatement, and
installation of permanent soil stabilization measures. Possible subcontracting trades are Asbestos
Abatement; Building Moving/Demolition; Concrete; Construction Clean-up;
Earthwork & Paving; Electrical (General); Hydroseed Spraying; Landscaping;
Lead Abatement; and Pipeline. The
estimated bonding range is between $400,000.00 to $500,000.00.
Bids will be received
at the Procurement Services Division, 320
Commerce Circle, Sacramento,
California
until 2:00 P.M. on June 24, 2008
at which time and place all bids received will be publicly opened and read
aloud.

A deposit of $100.00 check or money order only
is required for the first set of plans and any additional plans may be
purchased through Signature
Reprographics.
Deposits will be refunded if
plans are returned in good condition to Signature Reprographics no later than 3 weeks after bid
opening. BID PACKAGES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL JUNE

All interested
licensed "A" General Engineering contractors should plan to attend
the first Pre-Bid Conference
scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on June 12, 2008, at the Maintenance
Conference Room, 320 Commerce Circle, Sacramento, California with a site visit
following the Pre-Bid Conference. A second Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled
for 10:00 A.M. on June 16, 2008, at the Maintenance Mezzanine, 320
Commerce Circle, Sacramento, California with a second site visit following the
Pre-Bid Conference. All contractors are
urged to attend one of the two the Pre-Bid Conferences including the site
inspection. Although attendance is not
mandatory, contractors will be required to verify that they are aware of the
existing site conditions.
This contract is
subject to State labor standards. All
bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Bid Bond in the
amount of not less than 10% of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to
furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the
amount of not less than 100% of the contract price. Pursuant to the California Public Contract
Code Section 22300 the Contractor may request that the Agency substitute a
security in the amount of the performance retention.
The Sacramento Housing and
Redevelopment Agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any
informalities in the bidding. The Agency
