Greenbelt Rail Vehicle Lift Systems
Please note the following changes:
The Pre -Proposal Conference/Site Tour is re-scheduled for Tuesday June 17, 2008 at 9:00 am and the Proposals are now due on July 09, 2008.
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority requests your proposal to design, fabricate, install, test and commission eight (8) rail vehicle lift systems (Each system comprising of four hoists) at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Greenbelt Yard located in Greenbelt, Maryland.
The rail vehicle lift systems shall be capable of safely lifting WMATA s married pair of rail vehicles on their wheels to the specified elevation above the shop floor to permit inspection, maintenance and repair activities on the rail vehicle. The rail vehicle lift systems shall be equipped with body stands that safely support the raised vehicle while the trucks are lowered for removal and replacement. The rail vehicle lift system shall be equipped with spinning posts that safely support the raised vehicle on its truck jacking pads while the traction motors are powered and the wheel sets are rotated.
Estimated cost range for this project is between $5M and $10M. Work to be completed within 510 Calendars Days after NTP. A Pre -Proposal Conference/Site Tour is scheduled for Tuesday June 17, 2008 at 9:00 am at the Greenbelt Yard construction trailer located at 5801 Sunnyside Avenue, College Park, MD 20740.
