| Opportunity Summary |
DHS intends to award a Sole Source Contract to Benjamin DeHaan. The ability to perform
under this contract as a sole source provider is threefold:
1. It is necessary for the provider to possess an active working relationship with the
Oregon Commission on Children and Families (OCCF) and be able to represent DHS' interests
with the legislative mandates of that organization. The Provider has a current relationship
with OCCF.
2. The Provider must have an active relationship with Casey Family Programs and an intimate
knowledge of their programs and granting abilities and requirements.
3. The Provider must also possess an extensive programmatic knowledge of DHS Child Welfare
programs in order to combine the interests of the OCCF with the resources of the Casey
Family Programs to the benefit of the children in DHS' care and custody. The Provider has
a long history of service provision to Child Welfare and overall DHS programs.
The chosen Provider possesses all three of these specific abilities and qualifications
making Mr. DeHaan the only known vendor the expertise to fulfill the contract.
Initial Contract period will be for one year in the amount of $18,000. DHS reserves the
right to extend the contract for additional periods of time and for additional dollars
not-to-exceed $75,000.00.
