COMMERCIAL ITEM. SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE. The project consists of: cutting and girdling subalpine fir, lodgepole pine and Engleman spruce; cutting and hand pulling all subalpine fir trees within 15 feet of any whitebark pine tree over 2 feet in height; lopping all limbs of the felled trees; and bucking the bole of the felled trees into 8 foot lengths and scattering. Units consist of high elevation stands of subalpine fir mixed with whitebark pine. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government furnished), and incidentals to perform all work necessary on the areas specified. All aspects of the work program shall be performed in an organized, systematic manner to assure services will be performed over the entire unit.
LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION: From Cascade, ID take the Warm Lake Road east approximately 5 miles to 404 road. Continue on road 404A about 6.5 miles to the project area. Project is on the Boise National Forest, Cascasde Ranger District.
CONTRACT TIME: Estimated start date is July 28, 2008 with estimated contract time of 65 calendar days. NAICS code: 115310. Size Standard: $6.5 Million. See numbered note 1.
