The Glynn County, Georgia Board of Commissioners is soliciting bids for the subject project. You are invited to participate in the bidding process. All proposals received will be publicly opened at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2008.

Work on this project includes, but is not limited to, providing all skill, labor, material, and equipment for the construction of a new 12,000 sf office building. The building structure will be a pre-engineered metal building with a standing seam roof. The exterior will be brick veneer and decorative CMU to match the surrounding buildings. The building is designed to 130 mph wind speed and includes impact resistant glazing. The entire building will be on an emergency generator (to be supplied by Owner). The interior includes offices and sleeping quarters for the Georgia State Patrol. All work shall be done in accordance with the contract documents and the plans and specifications. The project will consist of all work as described within Invitation For Bid #00662. The contractor is to be responsible for all required fees and permits as outlined in Section 26 of the General Conditions and for the coordination of inspection with the authority having jurisdiction.

Should your company be interested in submitting a proposal for this project, plans, specifications and bid documents are open for Public Inspection at the Glynn County Purchasing Agent's Office at the above address. Copies of contract documents, and plans may be obtained from the Purchasing Agent. Bid docs are on disk, plans are on paper. There is a $50.00 non-refundable charge for the documents. There will be a pre-bid conference on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the site located on Public Safety Blvd, Brunswick, Ga. Meet in front of the Public Safety Building.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid. A cashiers or certified check may be submitted in lieu of a bid bond.

The successful Bidder, if awarded this contract, will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.

Glynn County has a pre-qualification process in place. This project requires that potential contractors be pre-qualified prior to being able to submit a bid for this project.
