Shaw AREVA MOX Services, LLC (MOX Services), operating under U. S. Department of Energy (DOE) Prime Contract DE-AC02-99CH10888, is the Prime Contractor for the Mixed Oxide (MOX) Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF) Project to be built at the Savannah River Site (Aiken, South Carolina, USA). Under the Terms and Conditions of the Prime Contract, MOX Services is responsible for the procurement of Supplies, Services, and Construction in support of the MOX Project.
MOX Services is seeking potential vendors for the Manufacturing (Build to Print) of twelve (12) Gloveboxes (GB) situated in process area of the Mixed Oxide (MOX) Fuel Fabrication Facility.
The GME package is made up of the following 12 Gloveboxes:
GME*GB2000 : Handling Glovebox
Design: This Glovebox is made up of 8 small gloveboxes linked by flanges. This GB ensures the transfer of the rods to the different process GBs. Frame type. Bottom plate 30mm thick, thickness of the shell: 6mm.
Dimension: Length: 50 ft, Width: 15 ft, Height: 2ft
Material: Austenitic Stainless Steel 304L
GME*GB3XXX: Rod filling Line
In the Process Unit, there are 2 identical filing lines: GME *GB3000A and GME*GB3000B.
Each line is made up of the following Gloveboxes:
GME*GB3100: Stack preparation Glovebox
Design: Shell type. Bottom plate 30mm thick, thickness of the shell: 6mm.

GME*GB3200: Tube filling Glovebox

Quality Assurance Program Overview: MOX Quality Level 1 (and designated Level 2) related contracts require supplier commitment to fully meet the MOX Project Quality Assurance Plan commitments and requirements. Examples include:
1. 10 CFR 50, Appendix B, as implemented through ASME NQA-1-1994, as revised by 1995 addenda; and Regulatory Guide 1.28 (Rev. 3)
2. ASNT-TC-1A, 1988 Edition
3. 10 CFR 21- Requirements for Reporting of Defects and Noncompliance
4. Commercial Grade dedication process written to an industry recognized standard. (e.g., CGI dedication guidelines, EPRI NP5652).
In addition, these requirements must be flowed down to respective sub-tier suppliers.
