The Authority is currently requesting proposals for geotechnical engineering support services from individuals or Firms (together € Firms € ) currently on the Authorities pre-qualified list for the geotechnical engineering discipline. The Firm selected will act upon the Authority € s behalf to protect the Authority € s and customers € interests related to the tasks outlined in this RFP. Proposals must be submitted in accordance with the needs set out in the evaluation criteria of this Request for Proposal (RFP). If your Firm is interested in providing a proposal, the firm must be considered pre-qualified for the discipline by the Authority a minimum of six (6) working days prior to the due date of the proposal. A working day is considered Monday through Friday not including Authority-recognized holidays. If your Firm is not pre-qualified, you/your Firm can submit information via the Authority website http://www.brazos.org or go directly to the following link: http://www.brazos.org/PreQualificationForm.asp As geotechnical services are required during the period of the agreement an individual task order will be negotiated with the selected provider and task orders issued for these requirements. The following is an overview of professional services that may be required. ? Periodic review of dam monitoring instrument readings ? Preparation of Annual FERC Surveillance and Monitoring Report ? Respond to FERC requests for information and analysis of instrumentation readings and stability of dam structures ? Perform dam safety inspections and prepare report of findings ? Read Inclinometers analyze results and prepare report of findings. ? Survey, map and record geological surface features ? Conduct subsurface exploration such as core borings and analysis of samples and prepare reports ? Install dam monitoring instrumentation such as piezometers, relief wells and inclinometers ? Provide foundation recommendations for small construction projects ? Provide recommendation for maintenance and construction materials such as bedding and rip rap slope protection for embankments and channels, seepage drain filter material etc.
