Synopsis:

The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, Ca, anticipates issuing Firm Fixed Price (FFP) supply contract to LDS Test and Measurement, 8551 Research Way, M/S 140, Middleton, WI 53562, on a sole source basis using FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This acquisition is to purchase a Genesis Data Recorder and supplementary equipment used in the operation of this machine. The LDS equipment being purchased is an upgrade of an existing system to allow for additional data channels and is not the acquisition of a new system. No other system is capable of the interoperability required to increase the capability of the system to meet minimum Government needs. Additional technical specifications will be available upon release of the RFQ. The system must be compatible with existing equipment and perform as a system upgrade to allow additional channels of data to be recorded. A request for quotations will be issued using FAR Part 13.5, Test Procedures for Commercial Items. The solicitation will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website at http://www.neco.navy.mil and the FEDBIZOPPS website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 10 July 2007. The Genesis Data Recorder and supplementary equipment used in the operation of this machine is to be delivered no later than 15 days from date of contract award. The anticipated award date is on 31 July 2008. Delivery will be FOB Destination, NAWCWD, China Lake, CA. Any company believing they can provide this upgrade may submit written responses to the Contracting Officer no later than 5 days of publication of this notice.
