Synopsis:

The United States Government Printing Office (GPO) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a contractor to operate the food services facilities located at the Government Printing Office (GPO), 710 N. Capitol Street NW, 8th Floor. The GPO views its cafeteria, catering and vending services program as a significant employee benefit serving approximately 2,500 employees daily. GPO will not be held responsible for any variation from this employee population figure because the extent of occupancy is not guaranteed. The challenge facing the selected Contractor will be to present a food service program for cafeteria services, catering and vending services that offer a range of reasonably priced food items that appeals to all segments of the building population as stated in the terms and conditions of the resulting contract. The successful contractor shall also establish and operate in the contractor?s name, provided breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday, including a variety of food that not only appeals to all segments of the building population, but that will also benefit cafeteria users and comply with USDA accepted health and nutrition standards. The required level of service will be maintained and/or expanded by the contractor, as needed. This is NOT a request for proposal and does not constitute any commitment by the contractor or Government to perform these services.
