Description
1.     The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) is soliciting information to identify possible sources to provide standardized air droppable Advanced Rescue Crafts with towable buoyant sled and tow trailer.     These products will increase operational capability to meet the maritime rescue mission of Guardian Angel forces during Combat Search and Rescue operations.     This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commit the government to award a contract now or in the future.     Submitting information for this RFI is voluntary and participants will not be compensated.

2.     Respondents to this RFI should describe their ability to meet and/or exceed the following objectives:    

       a. The ARC shall have a minimum of 160 Horse Power.
       b. The ARC shall be rugged and able to withstand military airdrop operations.
       c. The ARC shall have an airdrop harness that enables traditional static line and Joint Precision Airdrop Deployment System (JPADS).
       d. The ARC shall have a high-buoyancy rescue sled able to carry one Isolated Personnel (IP) while maintaining stability in varied water conditions.      
       e. The ARC shall have handhold straps attached to both sides of the hull that allows multiple IPs to hold on and be transported.    
       f. The ARC shall have floating tube (life preserver) attached that allows quick deployment to the IP.    
       g. The ARC system shall have a trailer that allows transportation and quick deployment of two ARCs.

3.     Two (2) paper copies should be submitted to the program office as outlined here and in paragraph 4.     Paper copies must be clearly labeled ?Proprietary/Competition Sensitive Information? on the cover sheets and, in close proximity to this type of information, on each applicable page.     Proprietary/Competition sensitive information will be protected from disclosure.     E-mail copies of the paper submittal will be accepted.
