Synopsis:

Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System (VAAAHS), is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Field Certification of 32 biological cabinets and three (3) clean benches during the months of March and September at the VAAAHS, Ann Arbor, MI. 48105 - Unrestricted - NAICS Code 811219, size standard $6.5 million. 1. All Biological Safety Cabinets (BSC) shall be certified, on site semi-annually (September & March), in accordance with the most recent edition of NSF Standard #49; 2. All clean benches shall be certified, on-site semi-annually (September & March), according to each clean bench manufacturer's factory standards. At a minimum, the following tests will be performed: HEPA filter media, Filter frame leak test, Airflow velocities; 3 All certifiers shall be accredited by the NSF in the field certification of BSCs; 4. There are 32 BSCs located at the VAAAHS that require certification. There are also three clean benches (two on the Ann Arbor campus and one in Toledo) that require certification.
