Description
NOTICE OF INTENT
The 37th Contracting Squadron, Lackland Air Force Base intends to award a purchase order to Time Warner, 1900 Bluecrest Lane, San Antonio TX 78247-4315 for the acquisition of fiber network line. The requirement is to purchase Network Connection for DLIELC, Building 7445, acquisition of 10 Mbps dedicated internet access (12 months), Installation of dedicated internet access (1 Each), Interprise managed security services and hardware (12 months), Firewall based anti-virus (12 months), Firewall based anti-spyware (12 months), Firewall based intrusion prevention service (12 months), Installation of managed security services and hardware (1 each). Base communications is no longer allowing any more trenching for lines. Time Warner already has fiber network line outside the building and a connection box is in place. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to award to one source under authority of FAR 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes.
