This is a requirement for Maintenance and Overhaul (M&O); of the subject item for the UH-60 aircraft. No surplus parts shall be used or applied.

The proposed contractual action will be a five year M&O; Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the quantity stated above. The contractor shall furnish all depot level labor, facilities, tools, test equipment and materials for the M&O.; Authority cited is Title 10 United States Code (USC) 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy this agencys requirement. This item is identified as a Critical Safety Item (CSI). This requirement is sole source because it is a CSI which requires approved sources to perform the overhaul. There is a DMWR identified (DMWR-1-4140-228) for this requirement, however, since it is a CSI, only approved sources can perform the overhaul. Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main Street, Stratford, CT 06614-1378 (CAGE: 78286) is the only approved source for overhaul of this item. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for this or future solicitations by submitting documentation in accordance with the Competition Advocate's Shopping List (CASL) procedures. Award of this requirement will not be withheld pending source approval. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of the solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Foreign firms are reminded that all requests for solicitations must be processed through their respective embassies. All responsible sources that can perform the above effort may submit an offer that shall be considered by the Agency. This requirement is currently unfunded.
