Synopsis:

The estimated bid opening date is 9 July 2008 with an anticipated proposal due date of 8 August 2008
This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid.
The government intends to purchase various types of right-hand drive trucks (38 minimum), latest model year for general administrative use by the U.S. Government for transporting personnel/cargo. Vehicle/Equipment and furnished accessories shall comply with Japanese Motor Vehicle Safety Standard. There will be 21 Contract Line Items. The delivery requirements are 60, 90, 120, or 160 calendar days depending on the vehicle type, from the date of each order after award; FOB Destination for various locations in Japan. The solicitation requireS offerors to submit a technical proposal, past performance and experience information, warranty, and a price proposal for evaluation by the Government. All offers shall be in the English Language and priced in Japanese Yen. The estimated contract term is 12 months.
The Government may award this contract to more than one contractor. The Government will give fair consideration to all awardees in placing orders based on criteria stated in the solicitation.
