Description
The 12th Contracting Squadron at Randolph AFB intends to award a contract for the purchase of turn-key services for an organized Air Force wide running event in accordance with FAR13.106(b). Award will be made in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being accepted and a written solicitation will not be issued. F3PT5K8073A901 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This combined synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-22&23.;
The SIC Code is 7941, the NAICS code is 711320, and the size standard is $6.5M. Award is anticipated on 24 March 2008. Interested persons may express their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals within (5) calendar days after date of publication of this notice of intent.
Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
A firm-fixed price award will be made in accordance with the Performance Work Statement.
SOLE SOURCE JUSTIFICATION:
America?s Kids Run has been the only source found capable of offering a turn-key program with complete materials and on-line registration for an Air Force-wide running event.
The ?America?s Armed Forces Kids Run? has been an Air Force Services focal point over the past four years during the month of May ? annually scheduled on Armed Forces Day. It is highly unlikely any other contractor can meet the magnitude of effort required to provide the subject turn-key services ? to include advance marketing and registration capablities ? in accordance with the necessary timeframe.
