The United States Coast Guard intends to extend, on a sole source basis, the base period of contract DTCG23-02-D-NDRS02 with General Dynamics C4 Systems, 8201 East McDowell Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257 for the FY09-FY10 Rescue 21 efforts to build, test, install and support the replacement of the legacy National Distress and Response System. The scope of the effort will include project management, technical services (such as engineering, maintenance, training and logistics), sector infrastructure preparation and Rescue 21 system installation. Additional efforts may include the development of disaster recovery assets and disaster recovery system implementation. The anticipated contract period of performance for this requirement will be from date of contract award through twelve (12) months thereafter, with a one (1) year option. General Dynamics C4 Systems is the prime contractor for the Rescue 21 program. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact General Dynamics C4 Systems directly.
