The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), has a requirement for DOCKSIDE repairs to be performed at Northeast Marine Support Facility, 166 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA. The performance period will be 33 calendar days with a start date on or about November 17, 2008 and ending on or about December 19, 2008. This acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the NOAA Ship DELAWARE II, a 155'6" foot, 30 ft beam (molded); Draft Design 16'6" ft, Depth to main deck 22 ft. Vessel's homeport is Woods Hole, MA.

Hydraulic Cylinder Overhaul and Renewal 0007. Anchor Windlass Foundation Repairs and Preservation 0008. Dry Store Hatch Renewal 0009. MSD Pipe Replacement 0010. Fan Coil Unit Replacement 0011. Trawl Winch Engine Alarm Panel Renewal 0012. Fan Room Coil Repairs 0013. Dry Store Storage Rack Replacement
DOCKSIDE OPTION ITEMS include: 1001. Mess Deck Floor Covering Replacement 1002. Dry Store Area Floor Covering Replacement 1003. Steel Replacement - 01 Deck 1004. Galley Equipment Upgrades
ADDITIONAL WORK ITEMS include: 2001 Additional Work - Labor Hour 2002 Additional Work - Material Cost
All work shall be performed in accordance with detailed specifications and referenced NOAA Standard Specifications to be provided with the solicitation. Vessel will be available for inspection August 29, 2008 at Northeast Marine Support Facility, 166 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA. Arrangements for inspections can be made by contacting Ken Marston at 508-495-2347. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted at www.fbo.gov. The solicitation package will appear on or about August 5, 2008 and will be issued on a full and open basis. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract utilizing Invitation for Bid (IFB) procedures outlined in FAR 14. The solicitation will include a requirement for performance and payment bonds.
All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. If the vendor downloads a copy of the solicitation, please submit vendor information (name, address, point of contact, and email address) to the contract specialist at Sabrina.Tippins@noaa.gov or fax to (757) 664-3658. It is recommended for vendors to register on FEDBIZOPPS to receive notification regarding this procurement. It is incumbent upon vendors to monitor FEDBIZOPPS for the release of the solicitation, specification, drawings and all subsequent amendments. Vendors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov and list the appropriate NAICS code - 336611.
