NOTICE TO
CONTRACTORS
Pursuant to HRS Chapter
103D, SEALED OFFERS will be received up to and opened at 2:00 P.M. HST on July
8, 2008, in the Office of the Division of Purchasing, Department of Finance,
Room 303, 4444 Rice Street, Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii, located at the Lihue Civic
Center Complex, Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii 96766 for the Furnishing and Paying for
all materials, labor, transportation, tools, equipment, machinery and services
necessary to construct in place complete:
WORKFORCE
DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE OFFICE,
LIHUE, KAUAI, HAWAII
BIDDERS ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED
THAT EVIDENCE OF THE AUTHORITY OF THE PERSON(S) SIGNING THE BID DOCUMENT IS
REQUIRED TO BE INCLUDED WITH THE BID DOCUMENTS.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT WILL BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF A
BID AS BEING NON-RESPONSIVE OR NON-RESPONSIBLE.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference
is scheduled for June 3, 2008 9:00 AM, HST, at the Lhu e Civic Center Complex,
Mo'ikeha Building, Meeting Room 3, Lhu e, Kaua i, Hawai i. All potential interested persons,
contractors, subcontractors, and union representatives are invited to attend
the pre-bid conference.
The successful bidder is
required to submit to the County of Kauai, a tax clearance from the State
Department of Taxation and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, a Certificate of
Good Standing from the State Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and a
Certificate of Compliance from the State Department of Labor and Industrial
Relations, and evidence of possession of a Hawaii State Contractor s License
Type B as a prerequisite to entering into a contract.
The Director of Finance
reserves the right to cancel this Invitation for Bid or to reject any or all
others in whole or in part when in the best interest of the County.
This is a County
Project funded by County and a federal Economic Development
Administration grant funds.
