THIS PROCUREMENT IS A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), has a requirement for one fuel oil purifier (FOP) ship set consisting of two complete Ship's FOPs to include testing and installation oversight onboard the NOAA Ship THOMAS JEFFERSON. The anticipated required delivery date for the FOP ship set is three months from the date of contract award. The Government will provide a seven day notice for the onboard testing and installation oversight requirement.

Copies of the solicitation will only be posted to www.fbo.gov. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) posting will appear on or about August 26, 2008. Quotes will be due on or about September 11, 2008 at 12:00pm EST. Anticipated contract award date is October 15, 2008. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract utilizing simplified acquisition procedures outlined in FAR 12 and 13. Evaluation criteria is anticipated as follows: i) Past Performance, ii) Technical Approach and iii) Price. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. All potential vendors are encouraged to register as an Interested Vendor in FEDBIZOPPS. It is incumbent upon vendors to monitor FEDBIZOPPS for the release of the solicitation, specification, drawings, and all subsequent amendments. Vendors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov under the applicable NAICS code - 333999 (size standard 500 employees).
