FSR 3N34C Splinter s Cabin Road
The project involves improvements to an existing channel crossing. The current condition of the road at the crossing consists of severely broken-up concrete over native fill covering a 36 diameter CMP. The improvements shall include a new low-profile pre-cast concrete open-bottom arch culvert, rip rap placement, reinforced concrete pavement, and asphalt concrete pavement. Also included is the removal of existing concrete, the CMP culvert, and any other related road reconstruction or repair. All NEPA or other clearances will be provided by the Forest Service prior to start of construction.
Splinter s Cabin Road, 3N34C is reached by traveling north on Highway 173 from the Intersection with State Highway 18 in the community of Crest Park approximately 3.0 miles to the intersection of Hook Creek Road in the community of Cedar Glen. Then travel east and north east on San Bernardino County road Hook Creek Road approximately 2 miles to the beginning of Forest Road 2N26Y, also called Hook Creek Road. Then, follow 2N26Y approximately 0.8 miles to the intersection with Forest Road 3N34. Follow 3N34 to the left (north) approximately 0.1 miles to the intersection with 3N34C on the right. Follow 3N34C approximately 0.3 miles to the project site.

Solicitation will be a Request for Proposal (RFP) under FAR Part 15 requiring the submission of a technical and a price proposal. A bid bond is required.
