The US Postal Service only accepts proposals from General Contractors. If you are a subcontractor, you will need to go to the website listed above and obtain the offerors list and submit your proposals directly to the General Contractors.
This solicitation invites proposals for the construction of a new Freeport, FL Main Post Office facility containing approximately 4,961 sq ft of floor space located at New Florida State Road 83 (US 331), Freeport, FL. The work includes, but is not limited to, wood frame construction, concrete, masonry, carpentry, metal/shingle roofing, insulation, hollow metal doors, metal studs, gyp board, resilient flooring, vinyl composition tile flooring, carpet, painting, store fixtures, landscaping, electrical, mechanical, utilities and other work associated with postal facilities. Bonds must be received within 10 days from receipt of Intent to Award. Contractors will be evaluated based on references showing similar construction experience. Contractors must have an EMR (Experience Modification Ratio) of less than 1.0 to be considered. Notice to Proceed with construction will be issued no later than 9/15/08.
Minimum Requirements:
Your company must have been in business, under the firm s present name, for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years.
You must have an EMR (Experience Modification Ratio) of less than 1.0. You obtain this from your insurance company.
You must have the ability to provide appropriate bonding and sufficient insurance.
Cost range: $1,079,500 - $1,333,500 Const. time: 270 calendar days.
