Synopsis:

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue solicitation RFQ41601-0024-8 for the provision of Advance Occupational Education Services for the Federal Prison Camp (FPC), located in Yankton, South Dakota. The successful contractor shall provide the following Advance Occupational Education classes: Accounting, Business and Horticulture. The Advance Occupational Education course study shall lead to an Associates's Degree or Certificate Program at the post secondary level of study. The contractor must provide the necessary courses for an inmate student to complete the program. The contractor shall be listed in the directory entitled "Accredited Institutions of Post Secondary Education" published for the Commission on Recognition of Post Secondary Accreditation (CORPS). The estimated quantities for the base and each option year are an estimated 750 sessions per year for the Advance Occupation Education courses. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding an indefinite/delivery, requirements type contract with firm fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of one 12-month base year and four 12- month option years for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. The solicitation will be available on or about August 13, 2008 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov . The site does provide downloading instructions. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be register at www.ccr.gov.http://orcca.bpn.gov. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is 2:00 p.m. CT September 10, 2008 however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to the solicitation (1449 -Block #08) for the actual date quotations are due. This solicitation is unrestricted, therefore, all interested parties may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith -Based and Community -Based Organization can submit quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
