The Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests of Central Oregon are planning to issue a solicitation for Traffic Flagging and Pilot Car Services in support of controlled burning projects along major roadways. (Such as, but not limited to Highway 20, Highway 97, Highway 58, or other roads on or adjacent to the Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests and Crooked River National Grasslands.) Nearby cities and communitites include: Bend, LaPine, Crescent, Prineville, Sisters, and Madras.
The Contract Period is expected to commence in July of 2008, with the Base year ending September 30, 2008. Two Option Years are contemplated, depending on available funding, which would extend the contract until September 30, 2010.
It is expected that this will be a multiple-award, requirements Contract, with award of the first Task Order based upon the quoters' initial prices. All subsequent Task Orders will be competed.
