Synopsis:

The Bureau of Land Management, Colorado State Office is soliciting performance based proposals for the 2008 Arkansas Mountain Thinning project located in Fremont County, Colorado. The project consists of thinning, piling/chipping, and decking of selected vegetation to reduce vegetative competition and improve the fire regime condition class from a 3 to a 2 by reducing tree densities and restoring native grass. The project will be conducted as a performance-based service contract and includes 113 acres located north of Cotopaxi, Colorado in the west end of Fremont County. As a performance based project, the solicitation requires the prospective contractors to prepare a proposal and separate pricing documentation. The solicitation is scheduled to be posted on this web site on July 7, 2008 or shortly thereafter, and once posted, it will remain available on the web site for 30 calendar days. Responses to the solicitation must be mailed via surface mail to the Bureau of Land Management, 2815 H Road, Grand Junction, Colorado 81506, Attn: Michele Derfler and must be received in the office no later than 4 pm on August 7, 2008.
