Synopsis:

The Bureau of Reclamation is soliciting quotes for weed control and related vegetation management (brush control, planting and seeding, etc) to help maintain the habitat values being mitigated along the La Plata River. There are several species in various densities of Colorado listed weeds located within the mitigation area that require control to improve and restore the under story in the riparian zone and the upland buffer zones. This work includes restoration of approximately 1/4 of the 120 acre feed plots (30 acres) with a perennial grass mix and general weed control of the entire project. Evaluation criteria for award consideration will include:
The Contractor must possess a commercial applicator's license for the State of Colorado to dispense herbicides in industrial-right-of-ways, rangeland settings and in wetlandsThe Contractor and its operating employees must be knowledgeable of Southwestern Colorado weed species and native plants so as to be able to distinguish between them in the field.
Price
Technical capability and past performance when combined are approximately equal to cost or price. Request for Quotes No. 08SQ400150 using procedures prescribed by FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items in conjunction with FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition will be posted June 27, 2008. NAICS is 561730 with a small business size standard of $6.5M. PSC is F006. Quotes are due by 4:30 pm mountain standard time July 8, 2008.
